Qualifications

SUFLE is the CIEP (Centre International d’Études Pédagogique) approved examination center for DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) of the Aix-Marseille Academy. Il is also approved for TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français).

SUFLE organizes every year serveral sessions of DALF C1 and TCF certification, as well as the annual TCF DAP session.

Any foreign person wishing to assess his French language skills for personal, academic or professional reasons may take these certifications.

  • TCF is a test allowing to evaluate and validate one's level in French language. This certification is valid for 2 years and is recognized by the French Higher Education and university authorities, university language centers in France and abroad, as well as administrative authorities and different institutions responsible for teaching French abroad.
  • TCF DAP (for preliminary admission application) is a test required for applications to a Licence 1 at University or to a school of architecture in France.
  • DALF is an official qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language. Valid for life, it receives the recognition enjoyed by all official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education, in France and abroad. DALF C1 level is sometimes required for registration in Universities, for Law sections or for any master's degree and doctorate.
